OPT-1 firmwarev49

OPT-1 firmware v49 — What's new since v43

  • Black box: every alarm (low oil pressure, high oil temperature, sensor fault, over-rev) is recorded automatically, 5 s before and 10 s after. Event counters, password protected.
  • PRO lock: lock alarm thresholds and RPM settings with a password. Ideal for track days, rentals and customer cars.
  • Adjustable over-rev alarm, in 100 rpm steps.
  • New web interface for phone and computer: live values, recordings, alarm and unit settings.
  • G-meter rebuilt: stays accurate during long accelerations and re-levels itself at stops. New step-by-step calibration screen.
  • RPM noise filtering: ignition spikes are ignored, no more false over-rev alarms.
  • Data logging: 10 samples per second with no gaps. CSV files open directly in Excel.
  • Display: smoother readings, negative temperatures, "LOST RPM" only with the engine running, mode reminder at startup, firmware version on the Wi-Fi screen.
OPT-1 firmwareV50.6

WHAT'S NEW IN v50.6 - RPM from the ignition coil (classic engines)
- New "Signal type" setting (gauge RPM screen and web page): Standard (ECU, injector, PWM) or Ignition coil, for engines with a distributor (points or electronic module), wired on the coil "-" through a 10 kOhm resistor.
- Smarter RPM filter: ignores the ringing of the coil after each spark, and locks on only after several consistent pulses at start-up (no more absurd reading on the first pulse).
- Built-in RPM signal simulator for bench testing.
ALSO INCLUDED IF YOU UPDATE FROM v50.4 OR EARLIER - v50.5
- Every recording now shows, on each line, the alarm thresholds in force at that moment (oil pressure threshold following your RPM curve, temperature, over-rev): you see exactly why and when an alarm went off.
- Separate columns for each alarm (pressure, temperature, over-rev).
- More accurate RPM: no more short false dips while the gauge saves data.
- Safer Wi-Fi updates: the file is checked before installing (a wrong file is refused and nothing changes), the new version tests itself after restarting and the gauge goes back to the previous version by itself if anything goes wrong.
- New safe mode: after repeated crashes the gauge starts with Wi-Fi only, so it can always be repaired without a cable.

Before updating, write down your settings: alarm thresholds and pressure/RPM curve. Do not cut the power during installation.
